为生活而设计
上海和纽约，东西方两大国际大都市，中美两国重要的经济中心城市，创新进取，包容开放，海纳百川。设计正日益成为两个城市重要文化风向标和经济发展驱动要素。时值2016纽约设计周期间，建筑之外策展团队率领十位活跃在上海的新一代原创设计师展示最新的设计作品。这些来自工业设计、建筑设计和艺术等领域设计师们紧扣时代脉搏，通过多元和跨界的工作方式，传承与创新结合的设计逻辑，灵活运用木、竹、紫砂、陶瓷、铁、银、锡等中国传统材料，以及现代（现代）的人造石、纤维、3D 打印新材料，展现了海派文化和东方魅力，呈现日常家居的非凡创意。为生活而设计，走向纽约，连接彼此，连接世界。

Shanghai and New York, the two leading economy cities of Eastern and Western have the same notable features as open, inclusive and innovative. Design is proven to be the significant cultural element and vibrant driven force for the economy development of two cities. During 2016 NYCxDESIGN, BeyondArchitecture brings twelve new generation talent designers with different disciplines from Shanghai to present their latest original design works. Tradition and Innovation, diversity and crossover are fully reflected in their unique works by handling the kinds of materials as wood, bamboo, ceramic, iron, silver ,artificial stone, fiber, 3D printing materials to show the charm of the Orient. Shanghai Design is connecting to the world by NYCxDESIGN.
